About this item

Indo Gold Torch

Indo Gold Torch (Euphyllia glabrescens) is one of the most graceful and mesmerizing LPS corals in the reef hobby. Its long, flowing tentacles in rich golden-yellow and soft mauve sweep elegantly through the water, each tipped with a pristine white pearl that catches the light with every gentle current. The sweeping, anemone-like movement of this coral gives it a living, hypnotic quality that few other corals can match โ€” it is the kind of piece that draws the eye the moment it enters a room.

Torch corals are single-polyp growers that over time will produce new heads from the base, slowly building into a full, multi-headed colony. Each new head adds to the sweeping, full display that makes torches one of the most beloved corals in the hobby.

Indo Gold Torch is a moderately care LPS coral that rewards hobbyists who provide stable, consistent water parameters. Once acclimated and settled, it opens fully and consistently, becoming one of the most eye-catching and talked-about pieces in any reef system.

Special Considerations

Torch corals extend long sweeper tentacles that can sting neighboring corals. Provide adequate spacing โ€” at least 5โ€“6" from other corals in all directions. Avoid direct, high-velocity flow which can stress the tissue and prevent full extension. Indo torches can be more sensitive than Australian varieties; maintain stable, pristine water parameters and avoid sudden changes in flow, lighting, or chemistry. Brown jelly disease is an occasional risk; handle tissue carefully and maintain excellent water quality at all times.
