Please review carefully: At Macroalgae Farms, we specialize in live marine macroalgae, fish, and aquatic invertebrates. Because these are living organisms that require controlled handling, timing, and biosecurity measures, our refund, return, and cancellation policies differ from those of standard retail products. By placing an order, you acknowledge and agree to the terms below.

Macroalgae Farms does not accept returns on livestock orders under any circumstances.

Live marine organisms are highly sensitive to temperature, handling, and water quality changes during transport.
Once livestock leaves our facility, we cannot verify how it was held, acclimated, housed, or exposed after delivery.
For the protection of our systems, customers, and livestock health standards, returned aquatic livestock cannot be reintroduced into inventory.

No Refunds

Macroalgae Farms does not offer refunds on livestock orders.

Live aquatic livestock requires individualized selection, preparation, packing, and shipping coordination.
Costs associated with livestock conditioning, holding, packaging, insulated materials, labor, and shipment preparation are incurred before the order is delivered.
Because these costs cannot be recovered once an order has been processed, refunds are not offered.

Any approved issue involving livestock condition upon arrival will be handled strictly in accordance with our separate Live Arrival / DOA Policy.

Cancellation Policy

Order cancellations are permitted only if approved by Macroalgae Farms and are subject to a 15% cancellation fee.

This fee helps offset labor, livestock reservation, inventory allocation, order handling, and pre-shipment preparation costs already incurred.
Once livestock has been reserved for an order, it is no longer available for sale to other customers during that holding period.
Cancellation requests submitted after packing, label creation, or shipment preparation may be denied entirely.

If you need to adjust your order — change a delivery date, modify quantities, or swap an item — please contact us at Sales@MacroalgaeFarms.com as soon as possible. We will always try to accommodate adjustments before your order ships, often without any fee.

Why This Policy Exists

Live marine livestock is fundamentally different from standard retail merchandise. These policies allow us to maintain healthy livestock standards, reduce unnecessary stress on live organisms, and operate responsibly as a specialized marine aquatics business.

Each order involves biological risk, specialized packing, and time-sensitive shipping.
Returned livestock creates biosecurity concerns and may jeopardize the health of existing systems and future livestock.
Cancelled orders result in real operational losses because animals and macroalgae have already been selected, reserved, and prepared for shipment.

Orders Already in Process

Orders that have already entered packing, shipping label creation, or final shipment preparation may not be eligible for cancellation.
Macroalgae Farms reserves the right to determine whether an order is still eligible for cancellation at the time the request is received.

Policy Acceptance

By placing an order with Macroalgae Farms the customer acknowledges and agrees that livestock orders are subject to these no-return, no-refund, and cancellation fee terms.
