We ship live marine organisms with care using insulated, moisture-controlled packaging. Here's everything you need to know about how we get your order safely to your door.
Overnight Only
UPS Next Day Air & FedEx Priority Overnight — no ground shipping for livestock
T / W / TH Delivery
Ships Mon–Wed to avoid weekend transit risk. No Friday or holiday delivery.
Insulated Packaging
Every order packed with moisture-controlled materials and temperature packs as needed
Shipping Schedule
- Orders ship Monday through Wednesday to ensure Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday delivery — avoiding weekend transit delays.
- Orders placed after the weekly cutoff may be held for the next safe shipping window.
- Macroalgae Farms reserves the right to delay shipment if weather, carrier congestion, holidays, or livestock condition could compromise safe delivery.
- Tracking information is provided once the shipping carrier accepts the package.
Shipping Carriers
We ship all livestock using overnight carriers only:
Shipping service is selected at checkout based on availability for your delivery address.
Packaging & Shipping Charges
- All livestock shipments are packed using insulated shipping materials.
- Macroalgae is packaged using moisture-controlled packing methods to reduce transit stress.
- Temperature packs are included when weather conditions require them.
- Customers are responsible for shipping costs including insulated box and packing charges displayed at checkout.
Carrier Responsibility
Once a shipment has been accepted by the shipping carrier, responsibility for transport and delivery transfers to the carrier.
- Macroalgae Farms is not responsible for delays, loss, damage, or mishandling caused by UPS, FedEx, or any shipping carrier.
- Transit disruptions — including routing delays, mechanical failures, missed scans, and weather interruptions — are outside our control.
- Claims involving carrier mishandling or transit delays must be addressed directly with the shipping carrier.
Shipping Regions
Macroalgae Farms currently ships livestock within the continental United States only.
- We do not ship livestock to Hawaii, Puerto Rico, Guam, or other U.S. territories.
- International shipping is not available.
- The only exception is Alaska under the terms described below.
Alaska Shipping Exception
Shipments to the state of Alaska may be arranged on a limited basis due to extended transit distances. All livestock shipments to Alaska are sent without a Live Arrival Guarantee.
- By placing an order for shipment to Alaska, the customer acknowledges and accepts that all live arrival guarantees are waived.
- Customers shipping to Alaska waive any rights to DOA claims, livestock replacement, or store credit related to livestock condition upon arrival.
- Placing an order for Alaska shipment constitutes acceptance of these terms.
Delivery Responsibility
- Once a shipment is marked Delivered by the carrier, responsibility transfers to the recipient.
- Macroalgae Farms is not responsible for packages reported missing after confirmed delivery.
- Situations involving porch theft, misplaced packages, or access to shared delivery areas must be resolved with the shipping carrier.
- Deliveries to apartments, parcel lockers, mailrooms, front desks, and gated communities are considered delivered when confirmed by the carrier.
Shipping Address & Tracking
- Customers are responsible for entering a correct shipping address. Orders shipped to incorrect addresses provided by the customer are not eligible for replacement or refund.
- Carrier address correction or rerouting fees may be passed to the customer.
- Customers are responsible for monitoring shipment tracking and retrieving deliveries promptly after arrival.
- Macroalgae Farms is not responsible for delivery outcomes resulting from special instructions provided by customers to the carrier.
Right to Delay or Decline Shipment
Macroalgae Farms reserves the right to delay, reschedule, or decline shipment to locations where safe livestock transport cannot be reasonably assured due to weather, carrier disruptions, or other logistical risks.
Nonrefundable Shipping Charges
- Shipping charges, insulated box charges, packaging charges, and carrier-related fees are nonrefundable.
- Shipping services are considered completed once the carrier accepts the package for transport.
- This applies regardless of delivery outcome, including situations involving delays or disputes addressed under our separate Live Arrival / DOA Policy.
- Carrier surcharges, address correction fees, rerouting fees, or delivery adjustments may be the responsibility of the customer.
By placing an order with Macroalgae Farms the customer acknowledges and agrees to the shipping terms outlined above, including carrier responsibility, delivery terms, Alaska waiver conditions, and nonrefundable shipping charges.
