About this item
Mini Ivory Feather Duster Colony
Mini Ivory Feather Duster Colony (Sabellidae sp.) is a delicate filter-feeding marine invertebrate known for its soft, feathery crown of radioles that extend outward in a circular fan. This variety features clean ivory-white to pale translucent tones, creating a refined, elegant appearance that adds subtle contrast and gentle movement to reef aquariums.
Each colony consists of multiple small tube-dwelling feather dusters anchored to hard substrate, extending their crowns into the water column to capture fine suspended nutrients. Their responsive nature allows them to quickly retract when disturbed and re-emerge once conditions stabilize, adding dynamic behavior and visual interest to the aquarium.
*Note: Mini Feather Dusters typically measure approximately 0.5-1" in length.
Available Sizes
Starter Colony (3 Feather Dusters)

Special Considerations
🌱 Propagation
Mini Ivory Feather Duster Colonies may expand over time through natural colony growth and tube development, successfully reproducing in aquarium settings:
- New individuals may form within established clusters under stable conditions
- Colonies gradually increase in density with proper feeding and low stress
- Growth rate depends on nutrient availability and overall system maturity
