Only one male Magma Fairy Wrasse should be kept per tank; males will fight each other aggressively. A single male can be housed with a small group of females if all specimens are introduced simultaneously — this replicates the natural harem structure of the species. Magma Fairy Wrasses are peaceful with most tankmates and completely reef-safe with corals, but can be opportunistic with very small ornamental invertebrates including sexy shrimp and other tiny shrimp species. Larger established cleaner shrimp, snails, hermit crabs, and other invertebrates are generally safe. Feed a varied carnivore diet 1 to 2 times daily; Magmas are enthusiastic feeders and rarely refuse food once acclimated.
