Unlike photosynthetic anemones (BTAs, carpets, Haddoni), Tube Anemones cannot survive on light alone. Feed small pieces of mysis, silversides, or chopped seafood directly to the tentacles using a feeding stick or turkey baster. Provide a deep sandbed of at least 4 inches to allow the anemone to build and anchor its parchment tube — this is essential for long-term stability. Tube Anemones have long, potent stinging tentacles that will catch and consume small fish, shrimp, and invertebrates that come within reach; keep small livestock and delicate corals well away from placement location.
